Larry E. Bragg Sr.

Larry E. Bragg Sr., age 81, passed away peacefully on March 24, 2023, in a local hospital. He was surrounded by his loving family. Larry was born on Nov. 1, 1941, in Birmingham, Ala., to Lloyd and Joan Whisenant Bragg.
Larry graduated from Walker High School and served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He dedicated many years of service to PPG before retiring. In his free time, Larry enjoyed woodworking and was known for his craftsmanship and attention to detail. He was a gentle, kind, and loving Christian man who touched the lives of everyone he met. Larry’s legacy of kindness, love, and dedication to his family and community will live on through the memories of those who knew him. He will be deeply missed by his loved ones, but his spirit will live on forever.
Larry is survived by his daughters, Debbie Bradley (Buddy) and Beth Cormier (Billy); his son, Larry Bragg Jr.; and his brother, Jerry Bragg; his 10 grandchildren, Raymond (Bear) Bradley, Merdith Nelson, Steven Bradley, Ariel Braddock, Danielle Courtney, Keith Cormier, Christopher Fuselier, Katie Bragg, Gage Bragg, Skylie Bragg; and 10 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brother, Jack Bragg; his parents; and his wife of 58 years, Helen O’Rear Bragg.
A private graveside burial service for Larry will be held under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home of Lake Charles. The Rev. Lamar Huffman will officiate the service.
