Teresa Sanders LeBlanc, 71, of Sulphur, La., was called to her eternal home March 21, 2023. She was a faithful member of Our Lady of LaSalette Catholic Church. Raised as a Hackberry Mustang, Teresa later taught second grade at her alma mater for 36 years. Loved by her students and colleagues alike, she was an inspiration to all.
She was a grounding influence on her children and grandchildren and never missed any family activity or event, which included her shopping sprees with her granddaughter. Outside of her boundless love for family, she was an avid fan of LSU athletics, an excellent cook, and enjoyed tea and Dr. Pepper.
Teresa is survived by her son, Brett LeBlanc; daughter, Alonna (Chase) Ardoin; grandchildren, Mason LeBlanc and Adrienne and Rowan Ardoin; siblings, Jeffrey (Cheryl) Sanders, Jeanne (Tim) LaFleur, and Tara (DeWitt) Poole; along with numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Terry LeBlanc; parents, Benny and Eloise Sanders; and sisters, Liz and Lisa Sanders.
Loss is always difficult; however, it is different when one loses someone so strong- maybe not in physical stature, but definitely in mind, will, spirit, faith, and love.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, March 27, 2023, at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of LaSalette Catholic Church in Sulphur with Father John Welch, M.S. officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery in Sulphur under the direction of Johnson and Robison Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 26, from 4-8 p.m. with a rosary at 6 p.m. Visitation will continue Monday at 8 a.m. until time of leaving for the church.
