An upper-level disturbance slowly moving west will cause storms to spread throughout Southwest Louisiana this weekend and into next week
National Weather Service Lake Charles Senior Forecaster Kent Kuyper said there is a slight chance of flooding as the slow-moving storms are expected to produce heavy rainfall.
No rivers are flooding at this time, but Kuyper said to be aware of water levels rising in area rivers, bayous and creeks.
Temperatures this weekend could reach as high as 92 degrees before dropping into the high 80s next week.
