LAKE CHARLES – Rosa Peloquin Carpenter, born May 24, 1936 in Fenton, daughter of the late Octave and Edith (Douget) Peloquin, went home peacefully, Friday, Jan. 14, 2022 at home surrounded by her loved ones.

Rosa loved her children and grandchildren fiercely and enjoyed spending time with them. She always had an open door to anyone; the family never knew who would be there for holidays. Rosa never missed an important event her children or grandchildren had. Rosa retired from K-Mart after working 30 years. She was known as Aunt Rose, Aunt Baby and Granny to many and loved every minute. She would cook or bake anytime the phone rang and was asked “Granny did you cook?” She was well known for her shrimp mold and chicken salad sandwiches. Rosa was loved and cherished by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and an army of family and friends.
