Justin enjoyed water sports and spent many hours on Lake Charles.  He was full of excitement for the future with such a light shining in his eyes.

Those left to cherish his memory are his mother and step-father, Brenda and Mike Kaufman of New Albany, Ohio; sister, Cassandra LeBlanc (Michael) of Yorba Linda, Calif.; step-brothers, Adam Kaufman (Megan) of Columbus, Ohio and Aaron Kaufman (Hollie) of Rapid City, S.D.; maternal grandmother, Gloria Elsass of Sidney, Ohio; step-paternal grandmother, Betty Kaufman of Bellefontaine, Ohio; two nephews, Carter and Decker LeBlanc; step-nephews and nieces, Griffin, Molly, Moses, Miriam, and Esther Kaufman; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family, and friends across the country.

He was preceded in death by his father, Gary Carter; paternal grandparents, Lee and Geneva Carter; and maternal grandfather, Roland “Bebe” Elsass.

Cremation was entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home.  In the spirit of the giving season, Justin gave his ultimate gift of organ donation.  So many will get to live on and enjoy more days with their loved ones as we sadly had to say goodbye to our special guy.
