Hilda Rae Bonsall Domingue, 88, of Lake Charles, La., passed away on March 13, 2024.

Hilda was born on July 13, 1935 in Creole, La. and was raised by loving parents, Telsmar “Blanc” and Lucia “Noone” Bonsall. She married Edward “Earl” Domingue on June 27, 1953 and moved to Hackberry where they resided and raised their family until his death in 1992.

Hilda was a stay-at-home wife and mother, welcoming the kids home from school with hot chocolate and warm cookies, and serving a hot meal every night. Once all four children were in school, she took a job as office manager of Hackberry Waterworks until retirement. Her passion has always been her family; her favorite days were spent surrounded by them, talking, laughing, and eating good Cajun food. She loved dancing to Cajun music and was always ready for a fais-do-do. She also enjoyed attending reunions to stay in touch with her hometown friends.
