The final week of the high school football regular season was filled with big-time individual performances as teams looked to head into the playoffs on a high note.

Leesville junior running back Xavier Ford continued his scoring binge with his third consecutive five-touchdown-plus game. He scored five times and ran for 316 yards on 33 carries to top 2,000 yards for a second consecutive season and led the Wampus Cats to a 53-32 win and a perfect record in District 3-4A.

Lake Arthur senior Kenyon Boese turned in a stellar defensive performance with three touchdowns — a pair of pick-sixes and a fumble return — in the Tigers’ 50-6 win over Vinton.

Boese also scored on a 39-yard pass from Ray Levi in the fourth quarter.

His pick-sixes came 18 seconds apart at the end of the first quarter to build a 29-0 lead for the Tigers.

District 3-5A

Sulphur senior quarterback Addison Constance became the third Tor to top 2,000 yards passing in a season after leading the Tors to a 35-22 win over Comeaux.

Constance completed 18 of 22 passes for 179 yards and two touchdowns and added another on the ground. He finished the season with 2,001 yards (174 for 272) with 16 touchdowns and eight interceptions.

The Tors’ other 2,000-yard passers are Morgan Clark (2017, ’18) and Kale Breaux (2012).

District 3-3A

St. Louis Catholic won a defensive battle at Jennings, 7-0, holding the Bulldogs to 160 yards of total offense.

The Saints forced three turnovers on interceptions by Christian Guillory, Silas Deville and Andrew Svarney, who also scored the lone touchdown on a 33-yard pass from Luke Pierson with 8:03 left in the second quarter.

District 4-2A

Oakdale senior quarterback Deekota Johnson exploded for five touchdowns to lead the Warriors to a 47-6 home win over Rosepine.

Johnson scored on runs of 73, 53, 55, 16 and 66 and finished with 367 yards on 12 carries.

District 5-2A

Grand Lake’s Ezra Fontenot blocked DeQuincy’s Kohen Cormier’s potential tying point-after kick in the fourth quarter on Thursday as the Hornets escaped with a 21-20 home win over Oakdale.

District 5-1A

The East Beauregard trio of Caleb Johnson (11-174, TD), Zane Hildreth (16-100, 3 TDs) and Freddy Beall (16-100, TD) all topped the century mark in a 44-13 win at Basile to keep the Bearcats from sharing the district title with Oberlin.
