Brenda Joyce Manning Breaux, a loving mother, grandmother, and sister, passed away peacefully on May 2, 2023, at Lake Charles Care Center in Lake Charles, La. Born on Jan. 11, 1940, in Beaumont, Texas, Brenda was the cherished daughter of Travis Manning Sr., and Dorothy Leblanc Manning.

Throughout her life, Brenda dedicated herself to her family as a devoted homemaker. Her unwavering love and care created a nurturing environment for her children and grandchildren, helping to shape the lives of those who knew her. With a heart full of compassion and a spirit of selflessness, she made a lasting impact on everyone she encountered.

Brenda is survived by her loving sons, Timothy Breaux and his wife Denise, and Russell Breaux; her brother, Kenneth Earl Manning and his wife Wanda; and her grandchildren, Jewel Breaux and Danielle Vickers. She will be deeply missed by all who had the honor of knowing her, and her memory will forever be cherished.

The family extends heartfelt thanks to Adrianna Rene and Barbara Watson of Lake Charles Care Center, as well as the compassionate nurses and staff of Heart of Hospice, for the tender care they provided to Brenda during her final days. Their dedication and kindness brought comfort and solace to both Brenda and her loved ones.

As we remember Brenda Joyce Manning Breaux, we celebrate the love she shared, the lives she touched, and the legacy she leaves behind. May she rest in eternal peace, knowing she will be forever in the hearts of those she loved and who loved her in return.

Brenda’s funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, May 8, 2023, in the Johnson Funeral Home of Lake Charles Chapel. Burial will follow in Consolata Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Monday from 10 a.m. until the start of the service, with a rosary being recited at 1 p.m.

Pallbearers will be Allen Theriot, Mark Kraus, Paul Cormier, Benny Allee, Anthony Dallas and Scott Creel.
