Live @ the Lakefront: Jarvis Jacob and the Gents to headline first concert

The 11th annual Live @ the Lakefront is returning to Lake Charles on Friday, March 17.

The free concert series is hosted by the Arts and Humanities Council of Council of SWLA and presented by First Federal Bank of Louisiana in partnership with the City of Lake Charles, said Cameron Fultz, Project Coordinator of the Arts and Humanities Council of SWLA.

Live @ the Lakefront has become a staple arts and culture event in SWLA. “This event is very special to the area, and has been a wonderful way to spend a family-friendly Friday night in Lake Charles for the past 11 years,” he said. “At Live @ the Lakefront, you can expect to hear great music, check out works from local artists and artisans, and try delicious food from local food vendors!”

Concerts will take place over the next three Fridays: March 17, March 24 and March 31.

To highlight local artists, art vendors will set up shop from 5 – 10 p.m. at the event venue. Participating art vendors include: Art Story, Otter Limites Apothecary, Belladonna – Artistry & Curiosities, Bayou Bling by JC, Cary Rubsamen, Southwest Apparel Company, SOWELA Art, RE – Christy Blalock, Ravenscorp Studios, All Made Up LC, The Creative Corner, McNeese MFA, Christy’s Handcrafted Jewelry, Fae Art Stuff, Paragon Ink, Sewly Amber, Marie & Lane Designs, Maya Designs and Paint
& Fire.

Food will be available for purchase via local participating food trucks: Tasterite Jamaican, Hi-Licious Food Truck, The Mac Box, Oh Taste and See, Kona Ice, Liberty Tree Street Kitchen, Piacere Pizza, Paul’s Rib Shack.
