Sheron Marie O’Quinn was born May 1, 1941, the eldest of five children born to the late Allen Matthew and Dorothy Rita Pousson.
She attended St. Margaret Catholic School, LaGrange High School and was a lifelong and devoted member of St. Margaret Catholic Church.
Through a friend, she met Arthur, the man she would marry and on August 1959 they exchanged vows in St. Margaret Catholic Church.
She and Arthur welcomed four children, ensuring to raise them in the church, instilling the importance of faith and family. She taught through action what it was to nurture, mentor, and treat people. She was friendly, funny, compassionate, and loved with her entire being.
Spending time with her family above all was her favorite past time. Camping was a weekly staple; whether to Bundick Lake or Holly Beach, she enjoyed combing the beaches for shells and sleeping under the Heavenly stars. When her children were in grade school, she returned to the workforce and was employed with Sears & Roebuck as a warehouse supervisor for over 20 years.
She was affectionately known as Granny to everyone when she welcomed grandchildren into her life, she embraced the title and everything that came with it. Having those grandbabies brought her a new life, and one she lived to the fullest with them. Her love of travel did not diminish upon Arthur’s passing, she enjoyed cruises with her daughter and friends. Together they traveled to Canada, Panama Canal, and the Bahamas. Her mornings were always shared with her friends drinking coffee and enjoying good conversation or enjoying an evening playing cards or dominos.
She was welcomed into Heaven, Feb. 14, 2023, by her beloved husband of 43 years, Arthur F. O’Quinn, Jr; her parents, Allen M. and Dorothy R. Storey; three brothers, Michael, Paul, and Theo Pousson; one sister, Ellen Dugas; son in-law, Eric Carlin, Jr.
