SW La. school lunch menus Dec. 5-9

The following menus for Dec. 5-9 for area schools have been submitted by supervisors of food services. Menus are subject to change.

MONDAY: Chicken fried beef patty or fingers with mashed potatoes and gravy, whole-wheat breadstick, great northern beans or navy beans, fruit cocktail, plums.

TUESDAY: Chili mac with whole-wheat biscuit or chili over cornbread bowl, cooked carrots, creamy coleslaw, pineapple tidbits, banana.

WEDNESDAY: Barbecue or lemon-baked chicken, baked beans, sweet potatoes with orange glaze, whole-wheat roll, peaches, apple.

THURSDAY: Chicken and vegetable dumplings or grilled chicken patty, fried rice, vegetable melody, mandarin oranges, pears, sugar cookies.

FRIDAY: Pizza, sweet peas, garden salad, melon cup, banana.


MONDAY: Breakfast pizza, honey bun, pears, apple.

TUESDAY: Whole-grain biscuit, sausage patty, fruit cocktail, plums.

WEDNESDAY: Cheese toast or grape crescent, oatmeal, pineapple tidbits, banana.

THURSDAY: Mini French toast with syrup, hash brown, peaches, apple.

FRIDAY: Blueberry and cream cheese stick, yogurt with granola, mandarin oranges, pears.



MONDAY: Pizza, corn, garden salad, orange wedges.

TUESDAY: Grilled ham and cheese sandwich, salad cup, green beans, peaches.

WEDNESDAY: Spaghetti with meat sauce, broccoli, garden salad, bread stick, fruit mix.

THURSDAY: Chicken and sausage gumbo, potato salad, relish tray with dip, fruit cup.

FRIDAY: Nachos with ground beef, taco salad cup, red beans, cinnamon rolls, pears.


MONDAY: Pancakes, pears.

TUESDAY: Cinnamon rolls, peaches.

WEDNESDAY: Hash brown casserole, sliced apples.

THURSDAY: Biscuit, sausage patty, mixed fruit.

FRIDAY: Scrambled eggs, toast, peaches.



MONDAY: Mini corndog bites, roasted potato wedges, salad, fruit cocktail.

TUESDAY: Hot grilled cheese sandwich, loaded baked potato soup, mixed vegetables, cool peaches.

WEDNESDAY: Crispy chicken sandwich, sweet potato fries, celery sticks, mandarin oranges.

THURSDAY: Meatballs, rice and gravy, mustard greens, black-eyed peas, cornbread muffins, red grapes.

FRIDAY: Street tacos, salsa, Texas ranchero beans, cantaloupe, party cake.


MONDAY: Glazed donut holes, yogurt, red apples.

TUESDAY: Pancake on a stick, orange wedges.

WEDNESDAY: Hash brown bites, scrambled eggs, buttered toast, cool pears.

THURSDAY: Apple cinnamon muffin, orange wedges.

FRIDAY: Crunchy cereal, cool peaches.



MONDAY: Corndog, mozzarella cheese bites, marinara sauce, roasted rosemary redskin potatoes, roasted Mediterranean blend vegetables, sliced peaches.

TUESDAY: Spaghetti with meat sauce, Texas toast, dark green salad with cherry tomatoes and carrot sticks, corn, pear halves.

WEDNESDAY: Barbecue-loaded baked potatoes, buttermilk biscuit, green beans, cantaloupes.

THURSDAY: Baked chicken, rice, cornbread bowl, white potatoes, black-eyed peas, red apple.

FRIDAY: Chicken and sausage jambalaya, sliced bread, lima beans, cream-style corn


MONDAY: McGriddle, tropical fruit cup, vanilla granola.

TUESDAY: Pancakes, peach cup, bacon.

WEDNESDAY: Country white gravy breakfast pizza, green grapes, string cheese.

THURSDAY: Chocolate donut, mandarin orange cup, breakfast sausage patty.

FRIDAY: Blueberry muffin, chocolate chip muffin, mixed fruit cup.
