Two female students are facing charges of  battery of a school teacher following a fight at Jennings High School.

The Jeff Davis Parish Sheriff’s Office arrested a 14-year-old and a 17-year-old student, according to Commander Ramby Cormier.

Both students were issued misdemeanor summons for battery of a school teacher and released to their parents or guardian, Cormier said.

The Sheriff’s Office began investigating the incident Thursday after a school resource officer received a complaint at the school that the juveniles reportedly struck school officials following a fight on campus, he said.

The investigation is ongoing and no other details are being released at this time.
