SW La. school lunch menus Oct. 3-7

The following menus for Oct. 3-7 for area schools have been submitted by supervisors of food services. Menus are subject to change.

MONDAY: Meatball sliders or turkey pot pie, baked potato or macaroni an cheese, broccoli with ranch dressing, mandarin oranges, blueberries.

TUESDAY: Chicken spaghetti or Cajun chicken pasta, yam patty, coleslaw, fruit cocktail, apple, cowboy cookie or vanilla grahams.

WEDNESDAY: Potato soup with diced ham or cheeseburger soup, carrot sticks with ranch, whole-wheat roll or cheddar cheese crackers, pineapple rings with cherries, banana.

THURSDAY: Jambalaya, vegetarian or pinto beans, mustard greens, grapes, orange.

FRIDAY: Pizza pocket or chicken taquito, cream-style corn, celery sticks with ranch dressing, pizza crackers, peaches, raisins.


MONDAY: Breakfast pizza, apricots, apple.

TUESDAY: Mini biscuits, sausage patty or breakfast chicken patty, mandarin oranges, blueberries.

WEDNESDAY: Whole-grain cinnamon and raisin bagel with cream cheese or cheese toast, fruit cocktail, apple.

THURSDAY: Oatmeal or oatmeal muffin square, hash brown, raisins, banana.

FRIDAY: Blueberry waffles with syrup, vanilla graham crackers, grapes, orange.



MONDAY: Pizza, corn, garden salad, orange wedges.

TUESDAY: Grilled ham and cheese sandwich, sandwich salad cup, green beans, peaches.

WEDNESDAY: Spaghetti with meat sauce, broccoli, garden salad, bread stick, fruit mix.

THURSDAY: Chicken and sausage gumbo, potato salad, relish tray with dip, fruit cup.

FRIDAY: No school.


MONDAY: Toaster pastries, mixed fruit.

TUESDAY: French toast, peaches.

WEDNESDAY: Cinnamon toast, ham, pears.

THURSDAY: Breakfast burrito, mixed fruit.

FRIDAY: No school.



MONDAY: Mini corn dogs, roasted potato wedges.

TUESDAY: Loaded baked potato soup, grilled cheese sandwich, mixed vegetables, chilled peaches.

WEDNESDAY: Crispy chicken sandwich, sweet potato fries, crunch cereal sticks, mandarin oranges.

THURSDAY: Meatballs with rice and gravy, black-eyed peas, mustard greens, grapes, cornbread muffins.

FRIDAY: Crunchy beef tacos, salsa, Texas ranchero beans, cantaloupe, sweet yellow cake.


MONDAY: Glazed donut holes, yogurt, red apples.

TUESDAY: Pancake on a stick, orange wedges.

WEDNESDAY: Scramble eggs, hash brown bites, buttered toast, diced pears.

THURSDAY: Sweet banana muffin, pineapple tidbits.

FRIDAY: Crunchy assorted cereals, watermelon.



MONDAY: Chicken nuggets, creamy mac and cheese, curly fries, fruit fluff.

TUESDAY: Pork roast and gravy, rice, cornbread bowl, orange-glazed carrots, side salad, pineapple chunks.

WEDNESDAY: Beef and cheese nachos, tortilla chips, salsa cup, ranchero beans, fruit cocktail.

THURSDAY: Chicken fried steak, yeast roll, redskin garlic mashed potatoes, broccoli and cheese, applesauce.

FRIDAY: Popcorn chicken, rip-stick bread stick, potato wedges, corn, banana slices with strawberry puree.


MONDAY: Chicken maple waffle sandwich, Rice Krispies treat, apple cup.

TUESDAY: Mini buttermilk pancakes, Goldfish crackers, pear cup.

WEDNESDAY: Fruit and granola parfait.

THURSDAY: Glazed donut, tater triangles, orange.

FRIDAY: French toast cake bites, pineapple cups.
