A Celebration of Betty Allbritton Miller’s Life, age 84, of Jasper, Texas, will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 10, 2022, at Our Lady of LaSalette Catholic Church in Kirbyville, Texas, with burial to follow at the Miller Cemetery in Starks, La. Rosary will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 10, 2022, at the church. Visitation will be from 5:30-8:00 p.m. Friday, Sept. 9, 2022, at Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home in Jasper, Texas.
Betty passed away on Sept. 4, 2022, at Timberidge Nursing and Rehabilitation in Jasper, Texas.
A native of Port Arthur, Texas, and former resident of Lake Charles, La., Betty was a resident of Brookeland, Texas, for the past two years. She liked sewing, crocheting and Cajun Dancing. Betty enjoyed traveling in the motor home and the special times spent with her family.
Betty is survived by son, William Gene Allbritton and his wife Cheryl of Nederland, Texas; daughters, Deana Wolford of Brookeland, Texas, and Edith “Edie” Ramsey of Selma, Texas; step-sons, Benny Miller and wife Vickie of Lake Charles, La., Tony Miller and wife Kathy of Lake Charles, La., and Rusty Miller and wife Janice of Baton Rouge, La.; step-daughters, Karen Ledford of Lake Charles, La., Paula Anderson of Lake Charles, La., Marie Barnes and husband Greg of Groesbeck, Texas, and Kristie Harrell and husband Dick of Groesbeck, Texas; brother, Joseph Matthew Poole and wife Frances of Dayton, Texas; sister, Geraldine Little of Port Arthur, Texas; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jake Poole Sr. and Anita Clark Poole; two husbands, William L. Allbritton and Alfred P. Miller; and one brother, Jake “Buddy” Poole.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Plaza, Memphis, TN 38105.
Services are under the direction of Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home of Jasper.
