Mable Thibodeaux

Mable Louana Primeaux Thibodeaux, 99, of Lake Charles, La., passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 11, 2022, in her residence.
Mrs. Thibodeaux was born Jan. 21, 1923, in Lowry, La., and was a graduate of South Cameron High School. She was a lifelong resident of Creole and Lake Charles. Mrs. Thibodeaux was a very active member of Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church, where she was a member of the Altar Society and the Catholic Daughters. She was very proud of her thirty-five plus years she served as a Catholic Daughter and was named Catholic Daughter of the year in 2005. She also enjoyed the numerous Catholic pilgrimages to Europe, which included stops in the Holy Land, the Vatican and Paris.
Mrs. Thibodeaux is survived by her daughters, Mary Joan Camp and husband John of Kingwood, Texas, Brenda Roberts of Lake Charles, and Marlene T. Rolfsen and husband Chris of Baton Rouge, La.; grandchildren, Clay Camp (Lisa), Ross Camp (Jeff Braverman), Bree Roberts (Emily Hyche), Rhiannon Roberts, Brandon Rolfsen (Renee), and Heather Rolfsen (Chris Sutton); great-grandchildren, Courtney, Andree, and Ivy; her great-great-grandchild, Noah; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Adam Thibodeaux; father, Ulysse Primeaux; mother and step-father, Rosa Marie Boudoin and husband Adise “Chop”; and her brother, Roland U. Primeaux.
Her funeral service will be at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, May 17, 2022, at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church. Monsignor Jace Eskind will officiate. Burial will follow in Consolata Cemetery. Visitation will be at Johnson Funeral Home on Monday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. with a rosary at 6 p.m. followed by a family led eulogy service. Visitation will continue on Tuesday at the funeral home from 8:30 a.m. to 9:45 a.m.
