Holly Diana Duplechin, age 35, of Sulphur, La. gained her angel wings on Thursday, May 5, 2022. Holly was born on Dec. 2, 1986 in Sulphur, La.
Holly graduated from Sulphur High School and McNeese State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education. She was an awesome teacher at Frasch Elementary School and touched the lives of everyone that she came in contact with. She loved all of “her little friends” and she was known as “Hollybug”, “Holly D”, “Hollywood” and “Ms. Dup”.
Holly was preceded in death by her grandparents, Linda Andersen, Virgil and Joycie Duplechin; and her aunt, Penny Duplechin.
Those left to cherish her memory are her parents, Ellis and Chris Duplechin of Carlyss; brother, Jeffrey Duplechin and wife, Dana; brother, Cory Duplechin; sister, Krystal Prater and husband, Derrick; paw paw, Troy Andersen; nieces, Lindsey, Kyara, Jaiya, Taylyn, and Zalee; aunt, Amy Andersen; godson, Manning; nanny, Diana Andersen; beloved dog, Braxton; and numerous great-aunts and uncles and cousins.
Visitation will begin at 50 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Tuesday, May 10, 2022 at Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home and will resume at 10 a.m. on Wednesday.
Funeral Services will begin at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, May 11, 2022 in Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Rick Ellis officiating. Burial will follow in Mimosa Pines Cemetery, Carlyss.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
