Rose Mary LeDee

Memorial service will be held May 6 and 7 2022, in San Bruno, Calif., and Elk Grove, Calif., for Rose Mary LeDee, age 90 who passed away on Holy Thursday, April 14, 2022, at her daughter’s (Carla Thibodeaux) residence in Elk Grove, Calif., at 4 p.m.
Rose was born Aug. 8, 1931, to the union of Walter LeDee and Mabel Fontenot-LeDee in Lake Charles, La. Rose was the eldest of eight children.
Rose was an entrepreneur since the early 1960s owning her tax consulting business in Louisiana and California for over 50 years. Rose also owned a private home health living facility in Stockton, Calif., where she cared for the elderly.
After retirement, she moved back to Lake Charles, La., in 2011 where she met her friend Arthur Gallow enjoying her Louisiana culture, cooking, baking, canning, and Zydeco entertaining friends and family in their Moss Bluff, La., home. Rose was known for her style in clothing and jewelry dressing up from head to toe. She was a spiritual person leading occasions with beautiful words of prayer.
Rose returned to CA in 2018 to live with her daughter Carla who cared for her until her death. Charles and Katheen Guillory was at Rose’s side when she passed.
Survivors include her two sons, Gary Thibodeaux of Lawtell, La., and Miles Thibodeaux of Moss Bluff, La.; four daughters, Charlmaigne Thibodeaux-Chavez of San Bruno, Calif., Joselyn Thibodeaux-Anderson of Mallet, La., Carla Thibodeaux of Elk Grove, Calif., and Elona Thibodeaux-Sheppard (CD) of Stockton, Calif.; 11 grandchildren, Christopher, Carlos, Antonio (Kristen), Helina, Jessica (Dustin), Ashley, Kalita, Jeremy (Bless), Jermaine (Liz), Alexander, Nicole, Anjia. She is also survived by 18 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
Rose was preceded in death by her parents; 1st husband, Lawrence Thibodeaux; 2nd husband, Richard Brennan and Mr. Arthur Gallow; four brothers, Carlton, John, Anthony and Walter P. LeDee; three sisters, Ellrissa Perez, Verna P. Guardino, and Catherine G. M. Delafosse.
Rose elected to donate her body to science in allowing medical researchers and educators to practice, learn, and create new techniques that continue to improve and save lives.
