Leesville bicyclist killed in Vernon Parish crash

LEESVILLE (AP) — State police say a 21-year-old Leesville man was killed when a car struck the bicycle he was riding.

The accident happed around 9:40 p.m. Tuesday on La. Highway 117 north of Leesville.

Trooper Scott Moreau says Joshua Pilley was riding his bike southbound when his was hit by a car driven by 19-year-old Logan

K. Craft, of Anacoco.

Moreau says Pilley was not wearing a helmet and was pronounced dead.

Craft was not injured.

The crash remains under investigation.
