City makes alteration to trash pick-up times

Due to summer heat advisories, the city of Lake Charles Solid Waste Division is making a temporary alteration to its weekly trash pick-up schedule.

Trash items, such as furniture, bagged items, etc., should be placed curbside by 5:30 a.m. on the scheduled pick up day as crews will begin running these routes earlier in the day.

Solid waste collection from garbage cans will continue on its normal schedule. Residents should place cans out the evening prior or by 7 a.m. on their regularly scheduled pick-up day.
