SW La. school lunch menus Sept. 25-29

The following menus for Sept. 25-29 for area schools have been submitted by supervisors of food services. Menus are subject to change.



MONDAY: Chicken Philly or chicken turkey barbecue salad sub, French fries, cauliflower with hummus, fruit cocktail, raisins, brownie bite or chocolate cake.

TUESDAY: Chili cheese tots or chili cheese burrito, garden salad, tomato slices, green beans, applesauce, orange, Rice Krispie treat.

WEDNESDAY: Chicken sauce picante or turkey roast with gravy, rice, cranberry sauce, lima beans, potato salad, homemade roll, strawberry cup, banana.

THURSDAY: Turkey crunchy taco or beef burrito, salsa, taco salad cup with shredded cheese, refried beans, peaches, pear.

FRIDAY: Ham and cheese or grilled cheese sandwich, sweet potato fries, great northern or navy beans, apricots, apple.


MONDAY: Pancakes, sausage link, melon cup, banana.

TUESDAY: Cinnamon Toast Crunch soft-filled bar or egg bake bites, graham crackers, fruit cocktail, raisins.

WEDNESDAY: Egg and cheese burrito or toast with jelly, yogurt cup, applesauce, orange.

THURSDAY: Ham slice, scrambled eggs, buttered toast, frozen strawberry cup, banana.

FRIDAY: Pop-Tarts or grits, cheddar cheese cuts or string cheese stick, peaches, pears.



MONDAY: Chicken nuggets, potatoes and gravy, carrots, apple, rolls.

TUESDAY: Chicken alfredo, corn, green beans, breadstick, strawberry cup.

WEDNESDAY: Spaghetti, broccoli, garden salad, fruit mix, rolls.

THURSDAY: Cheeseburger, waffle fries, salad cup, fruit cup.

FRIDAY: Beef burrito, red beans, Spanish rice, taco salad cup, peaches.


MONDAY: Breakfast pizza, pears.

TUESDAY: Cinnamon rolls, peaches.

WEDNESDAY: Cinnamon toast, ham, pears.

THURSDAY: Breakfast burrito, mixed fruit.

FRIDAY: Yogurt, toast, mixed fruit.

TUESDAY: Cajun chicken pasta, grape tomatoes, tossed salad, glazed carrots,

WEDNESDAY: Chili cheese burrito, Texas ranchero beans, berry mix and peaches.

THURSDAY: Jambalaya, sweet potatoes, cucumber slices, cornbread muffins, applesauce cup.

FRIDAY: Cheeseburger, French fries, bold baked beans, strawberries.


MONDAY: Assorted cereals, red and green apples.

TUESDAY: Pancakes, diced pears.

WEDNESDAY: Scrambled eggs, biscuits, tropical fruit salad.

THURSDAY: Build-your-own parfait, Mandarin oranges, berry mix.

FRIDAY: Breakfast pizza, bananas.



MONDAY: Cheese pizza, corn, broccoli, cinnamon apples.

TUESDAY: Sliced cheese, ham, hamburger buns, sweet potatoes, cucumbers, sandwich cup, fruit fluff.

WEDNESDAY: Cheeseburger, sandwich cup, sweet potato fries, pear halves.

THURSDAY: Chicken and sausage jambalaya, yeast rolls, field peas, baby carrots, pineapple chunks, sugar cookie.


MONDAY: Blueberry muffin, mixed fruit cup.

TUESDAY: Cereal, pineapple tidbits, bacon.

WEDNESDAY: McGriddle pancake, chicken sausage and cheese sandwich, pear cup.

THURSDAY: Scrambled egg, ham, flour tortillas, mandarin orange cup.

TUESDAY: Dutch waffle, scrambled eggs, mandarin oranges.

WEDNESDAY: Pop-Tarts, mixed fruit.

THURSDAY: Breakfast bagel, fruit.

FRIDAY: Cereal, yogurt, peaches.



MONDAY: Chicken shoestrings, mashed potatoes, gravy, seasoned green beans, mixed fruit, whole-wheat roll.

TUESDAY: Whole-grain spaghetti and meat sauce, steamed corn, tossed salad cup, whole-wheat garlic bread, watermelon.

WEDNESDAY: No school.

THURSDAY: Salisbury steak with gravy, whole-grain rice, sweet peas, fruit, sherbet, whole-wheat roll.

FRIDAY: Chili hot dog, French fries, ranch-style beans, watermelon, coleslaw.


MONDAY: Apple cinnamon whole-grain muffin, apple wedges.

TUESDAY: Cereal, buttered whole-grain toast, orange wedges

WEDNESDAY: No school.

THURSDAY: Biscuit, white gravy, sliced ham, grapes.

FRIDAY: Breakfast burrito, cantaloupe.
