Lance Burton & Friends: Get ready for a magical experience

The phrase, “a magical experience” has been used to describe many events at the The Rosa Hart Theatre at the Lake Charles Event Center. Never has it been used to write about what’s happening Friday, June 28, at 7:30 p.m.

That’s when Lance Burton, Master Magician & Friends, will entertain with his magic show suitable for the whole family. For 30 years Burton was a Vegas headliner bringing the oohs and aahs with his mix of illusions, sleight of hand, audience participation and amazing guest stars.

“I think the Lake Charles community has a love of magic and I know they will be enthralled during this one-night-only show from a world-renowned Las Vegas magician,” said Emily Gordanier, Lake Charles Event Center. She added that she will most enjoy the audience engagement, and thinks others will as well.

Also highly engaging are ticket prices that Gordanier shared. Two-for-the-price-of-one orchestra seats remain for $45, and for families and groups of four, act right away to get four tickets for $50.

Here’s what Burton’s website says about him:  His first appearance was on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. Over the years he racked up appearances on David Letterman, Jay Leno, Craig Ferguson, The View, The World’s Greatest Magic, Hollywood Squares, and even acted in guest starring roles on Knight Rider, and Las Vegas. In 1996 Lance Burton’s first TV special, LANCE BURTON MASTER MAGICIAN; THE LEGEND BEGINS, aired on NBC. This was quickly followed by a series of annual TV specials. He also hosted specials for The History Channel, Discovery, Animal Planet, The Family Channel, and many more.
