Wanda Moss Godwin, 86, of Lake Charles, La., passed away on Saturday, Sept. 17, 2022, at a local hospital.
She was born May 25, 1936, to her late parents, Travis Moss and Edna Lyons Moss, of Westlake, La.
She graduated from Westlake High School in 1954. Then attended Nursing school in Beaumont, Texas, and graduated from McNeese in 1958 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing.
She was married to the love of her life, Ed Godwin, for 48 years. They had a wonderful life together and enjoyed traveling.
Wanda enjoyed being a nurse and helping people. She was incredibly talented and creative. She loved and was involved in Mardi Gras. The Godwins were on the Charter Court of Krewe de la Noblesse. Wanda was on the board of directors for a time as treasurer.
She is survived by her brothers, Troy Moss and Kent Moss of Westlake, La. Kent’s wife Nelva and their daughters, Angela Moss and Trina Moss D’Aquila.
Wanda had many beloved friends. She will be FOVEVER LOVED.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Edward Godwin; and parents.
A Celebration of Life will be held at The Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd, 715 Kirkman St., Lake Charles, La., Thursday, Sept. 22, 2022, at 11 a.m.
The Committal will be held at the Church, Chapel of the Resurrection.
