Charles “C.J.” Joseph Louaillier Jr.

C.J. Louaillier Jr., 75, of Lake Charles, passed awayon Wednesday May 11, 2022 in the comfort of his home surrounded by his family.
C.J. was a native of Lake Charles and a 1966 graduate of LaGrange High School. Immediately following his high school graduation, he enlisted and honorably served our country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. C.J. then began a career in the plants as a security officer, a position he retired from after over thirty years of loyal service.
Family was important to C.J., he worked hard and enjoyed being around his children, grandchildren, sister and niece and nephew. He enjoyed fishing, but more recently trying out the latest gadgets, that, especially if he liked, he would share with his family. He was of the Catholic Faith and a member of the Disabled American Veterans.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Joseph Sr. and Mary Ann DiGiglia Louaillier.
Those left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Lori Louaillier-Carey and husband Brian of Port Allen, La.; son, Rayburn Lynn Fontenot Jr. and wife Denise of Vinton, La.; sister, Marti Rogers and husband Tom of Carlyss, La.; grandchildren, Skylar Renee’ Benoit, Hailey Fontenot and Hunter Fontenot; niece, Amy Donovan; and great-nephew, Mason Scarbrough.
A gathering of family and friends will be from 9 a.m. until 10 a.m. on Monday, May 16, 2022 with a funeral service to begin at 10 a.m. at the chapel of Johnson Funeral Home, Lake Charles. Deacon Anthony Pousson will officiate. Burial, with military honors, will follow at Prien Memorial Park.
