Captain Daniel Eubank McGlasson passed away in Arlington Hospital on Jan. 12, 2022, after a lengthy illness.

Dan is survived by the love of his life of over 40 years, Rosella J (RJ); his son, Daniel Eubank McGlasson. Jr (Elizabeth “Beth”); his daughters, Cindy Libby Green (Clarke), and Channez “Chan” McQuay (Rob), and Ed Tandy McGlasson (Jill). He is also survived by his niece, Mary Margaret Francez (Robert); his sister-in-law, Barbara Hibbs-Clark (Kevin); and many loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

CAPT. McGlasson was preceded in death by his parents, Harold E. and Margaret Eubank McGlasson; his brother, H. Edwin McGlasson Junior and his wife Karen; and brothers-in-law, Bill (Mary, deceased), Chester (Judy), and Richard Hibbs, and Mike Copelin (Kathleen).

After his 34-year career in the Navy, he traveled the world and was a superb navigator for his wife as they toured the United States in their Piper Arrow for 30 years.

Friends are invited to a “celebration of his life” in Dan’s memory at The Army Navy Country Club on Aug. 20, 2022. A full military burial will be held at Arlington National Cemetery in the future.

“Captain Dan” was a man to be remembered. To quote many friends – “He was one of the finest gentlemen you will ever meet.” And he was.
