Yvonne Marie Delafosse, 67, was born June 21, 1954, in Lake Charles, to the late Wilman Guillory and Lee Alma Wright.  A lifelong resident of Lake Charles, she attended Sacred Heart School.  She was very happy and loving, but could be a little stubborn at times.  She loved her children and grandchildren.  Her free time, she enjoyed video poker and bingo.  She departed this life Thursday, Jan. 13, 2022, at 5:05 p.m. in a local hospital. 

She leaves to cherish her memories, two daughters, Michelle Morrison and Fantasy Hebert; son, Barry Delafosse; and 11 grandchildren, Tangela, Geraldine, Doamar, Deja, and Mesha Delafosse, Genesis Etienne (Georgia), Jada George, Izaiah Kindred, Jeremyah Stevens, Patience and Nicholas Herbert; and a host of sisters, brothers, great grandchildren, other relatives and friends. 

She was preceded in death by her mother, Yola Morrison; brother, Paul Morrison; son, Dominic Delafosse; husband, Harold Delafosse; and stepsons, Trygvy and Andre Delafosse.

Her memorial service will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 22, 2022, at Shiloh Baptist Church located at 600 North Simmons Street in Lake Charles.  Pastor Barry Thomas will officiate.
