Violet “Vi” R. Kochell entered peacefully into rest on Sunday, Nov. 28, 2021, at the age of 79 years, 8 months and 0 days, at her home in DeRidder, La.  Vi was born on Saturday, March 28, 1942 in Indiana to James Nacke and Tabitah Miller Nacke.

Visitation will begin Thursday, Dec. 2, 2021, from 11 a.m. until Funeral Service begins at 2 p.m., in Broadlands Bible Church, 6423 HWY 171 N DeRidder, LA, with The Rev. Tim Bergen, Pastor, officiating. Interment will follow at the Beauregard Cemetery in DeRidder, La. Funeral Services under the care and direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home in DeRidder.

Vi was a member of the Broadlands Bible Church for many years. She loved antiquing and gardening. She spent many enjoyable hours bowling with a great team. She loved to visit with family and friends.

Left to cherish her memory are her brother, Devon Nacke and wife Karen; grandchildren, Aaron Kochell and Courtney Brown; and great-grandchildren, Kayden Kochell, Jaci Kochell, and Harper Brown.

Preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Alvin Kochell; sons, Michael Kochell and Greg Kochell; and daughter, Joy Ann Kochell.

Those honored to serve as pallbearer are Aaron Kochell, Kayden Kochell, Jimmy Cooley, Geoff Lee, Jacob Lee, and Phil English.

Honored to serve as an honorary pallbearer will be Leland Moses.
