Vincent “Buster” N. Liggio Sr.

Vincent “Buster” N. Liggio Sr., 88, of Moss Bluff, passed into the arms of his Savior on Thursday, Nov. 25, 2021 in Lake Charles. Buster was born to his late parents, Nute A. and Louella Liggio, on July 4, 1933 in Lake Charles. He was a Charter member of Gateway Church of God in Moss Bluff. He was proud of his service in the United States Navy, where he received the National Defense Service Medal and the Navy Occupation Service Medal, aboard the U.S.S. Massey DD-778. Buster loved taking part in U.S.S. Massey Reunions. He was past President of the Board of Realtors and owner of and Broker of Century 21 Liggio Realty for many years. Buster was a part of Liggio Cash-Way Incorporated, which was a family owned business. He was a welder at Conoco in Westlake for a number of years. Buster was one of a kind, and was loved by all who knew him. Buster was a true gentleman and loved his sweetheart, Marlene. They enjoyed traveling in their motorhome with lots of friends along the way, with Branson as their second home. Most of all, he loved his family and his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Marlene Brown Liggio; children, Rhonda Cupit (Danny) of Westlake, Donna Liggio-Nall (Teddy) of Lake Charles, Lynda Liggio (Danny) of Many, La., Vince Liggio Jr. (Melissa) of Moss Bluff, and Shane Liggio (Kelly) of Moss Bluff; brother, Jack Liggio (Sandra) of Moss Bluff; nieces, Angela Bel and Andrea Powers of Moss Bluff; grandchildren, Travis Cupit (Lisa), Ryan Lambert (Mandy), Cortni Granger (Cody), Dari Guillory (Chase), Chase Walker, Alec Liggio (Abby), Ross Gilley, Aden Liggio, Erin Gilley (Slade); great-grandchildren, Drew and Ivy Kate Cupit, Reid and Case Granger, Rhett and Briggs Guillory, Elijah and Khloe Lambert, Waylon Nall, and Korbin Liggio Peck; numerous cousins; and all of his caretakers, especially Sage Oak’s staff, for the love they gave our father. Also, the family would like to thank the staff with Amedisys Hospice Care.

Services will be held at Gateway Church of God in Moss Bluff on Tuesday, Nov. 30, 2021, at 2 p.m., with The Rev. Richard Rials, The Rev. Ken Sifford, and The Rev. Charlie Willis officiating. Visitation will be at the church on Tuesday, beginning at 11 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will follow at Westlake Memorial Park Cemetery.
