Jennings: It’s with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of Janice Ann Sanner Griffith announces her passing from this life on October 24, 2021, at the age of 73. Janice was born in Lake Charles, LA to Alden Sanner and Annie Mae Richard on February 28, 1948. She worked as a teacher, a job which she loved dearly. Janice graduated from LSU with a bachelor’s degree in Education and remained an avid LSU fan. Her greatest joys came from spending time with her family and making memories with them, especially her grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Janice is survived by her husband of 50 years, Joe Griffith; her son, Brandon Griffith; her three grandchildren, Kanen, Baylor, Saigen; her three brothers, Charles Richard Sanner (Kristi), Kirk Gerard Sanner (Malinda), Dwayne Alden Sanner (Sharron); as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
Janice is now rejoicing with the family that preceded her in death her parents, Alden & Annie Mae Richard Sanner.
Funeral Services will be held at Matthews and Son Funeral Home Chapel in Jennings on Tuesday, October 26, 2021, at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held at Matthews & Son Funeral Home in Jennings on Tuesday, October 26th from 8:00 AM until the time of her service at 11:00 AM.
