Interstate 10 eastbound is currently closed due to roadway repairs near the junction with Interstate 210.

Louisiana State Police have released photos of a damaged finger expansion joint.

Traffic traveling eastbound will have to detour onto I-210, the agency said.

Motorists are advised to plan accordingly or find alternate routes.

Authorities say the closure will remain in place until repairs are made.
