The west side lobby area of the Rosa Hart Theatre at the Lake Charles event center sustained damage during last Monday’s severe weather event. The view above shows the damaged ceiling. In other areas, boards are in place where glass panes used to be.
The theatre reopened on Oct. 15, 2023 after being closed since 2020 due to damage from Hurricane Laura.
In spite of the new damage, the theater remains open.
“Booked events are carrying on as planned,” said Katie Harrington, city of Lake Charles public information officer.
