The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office is investigating a hit-and-run that occurred at about 9 a.m. Tuesday, May 7, at a convenience store on La. 27 in Sulphur.

Spokesperson Kayla Vincent said a truck pulled out from under the canopy located over the gas pumps, at which time a tractor located on the trailer behind the truck, hit the canopy and caused extensive damages.  The truck, described as a white Ford single cab one ton flatbed dually, was pulling a red flatbed gooseneck trailer with a yellow front end loader tractor with a backhoe attachment.  The truck left the store and headed northbound on La. 27.

Detectives attempted to locate the suspect’s truck but were unsuccessful. They are asking anyone who can identify the truck seen in the photo, or anyone with information related to the case to contact CPSO at 337-491-3605.
