A driver was killed in an early morning single-vehicle crash today on Interstate 10 eastbound.

Lake Charles Police Lt. Jeffrey Keenum said the driver of the vehicle was killed due to injuries sustained in the 3 a.m. crash near mile marker 32.

Identity of the driver is being withheld until notification of the next of kin, Kennum said.

Cpl. Dennis Miller is the lead investigator and Sgt. Scott Dougherty with the Lake Charles Police Department Traffic Division is assisting.
