All Calcasieu Parish School Board schools and facilities will be closed on Monday, April 29.

“Due to the unpredictable timing of the severe weather, we feel this decision is in the best interest of safety of our students, faculty, and staff,” spokesperson Holly Holland said.

Schools will reopen on Tuesday.

Jeff Davis Parish schools will also be closed tomorrow due to the unknown timing of the squall line which is expected between 6-8 a.m. with lingering thunderstorms afterwards and potential power outages.

Beauregard schools will conduct a virtual day on Monday. Campuses will be closed.

School officials in Allen Parish are closely monitoring the potential storms expected overnight and into the early morning hours. Any cancellations will be made through Jcall and Facebook by 5 a.m. Monday.

Our Lady Immaculate Catholic School in Jennings will be closed Monday due inclement weather.

Due to inclement weather, the Sowela Lake Charles, Oakdale and Leesville campuses will delay opening until 10:30 a.m. The Jennings campus will open at 11 a.m.
