Five arrested in shooting at Easter block party celebration

Lake Charles Police have arrested five people in connection to an Easter block party shooting in the 3000 block of General Twining.
Deputy Chief Kevin Kirkum said officers responded to calls of multiple shootings just before 8 p.m. on March 31.
“When officers arrived, a large number of people advised that while attending a block party gunfire rang out and people began running everywhere.”
Kirkum said officers did not locate any gunshot victims at the scene but did locate more than 50 shell casings.
“As the investigation into this incident has continued, investigators have made multiple arrest for various weapons violations related to this incident,” Kirkum said.
Antoino Montero Nguyen 20, was arrested on April 8 and charged with illegal use of weapons or dangerous instrumentalities. His bond has been set at $1 million.
Mario Termaine Williams Jr., 24, was arrested April 8 and charged with accessories after the fact. His bond was set for $175,000. Additional charges have since been added, including possession of firearms by a person convicted of certain felonies; possession of firearm by a person convicted of domestic violence-battery; illegal carry of weapons-crime or CDS; possession of marijuana. The bond for the additional charges is $90,500.
Tyler Lee Carter, 22 was arrested April 11 and charged with illegal use of weapons or dangerous instrumentalities. His bond has been set for $1 million.
Quelon Fernando Watt, 19, was arrested April 16 and charged with illegal use of weapons or dangerous instrumentalities; and possession of firearm by a person convicted of certain felonies. His bond is $1.6 million.
Brylin Gage Lemelle Richard, 18, was arrested April 16 and charged with illegal use of weapons or dangerous instrumentalities. His bond is $1 million.
