Arthur Dorain Deville, 50, of Lake Charles, has been sentenced by U.S. District Judge James D. Cain Jr. to 51 months in prison followed by 10 years of supervised release following his conviction of count count of possession of child pornography.

Deville pleaded guilty to the charge on Aug. 16, 2023.

In 2022, the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children received a cybertip from Dropbox, Inc. in reference to images containing child sexual abuse material being uploaded to one of their accounts. An investigation by agents with the Louisiana Bureau of Investigation  revealed that the Dropbox account belonged to Deville.

On Oct. 26, 2022, Deville admitted to agents with LBI and the Department of Homeland Security Investigations that the Dropbox account belonged to him, and he was the only person with access to the account. Deville also confessed to possessing the CSAM maintained in the Dropbox account. An analysis of the deleted files in Deville’s account contained CSAM involving minor children not having reached the age of puberty.

The case was investigated by Department of Homeland Security Investigations and Louisiana Bureau of Investigation and prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Craig R. Bordelon. This case is part of Project Safe Childhood, a U.S. Department of Justice nationwide
initiative to combat the growing epidemic of child sexual exploitation and abuse.
