The Calcasieu Parish Police Jury announced today that the Burton Complex will be transitioning to a cashless facility. The complex, owned by the Police Jury, will no longer accept cash payments for tickets, concessions, or merchandise, effective March 1.
The Burton Complex accepts Visa, Mastercard and Discover credit cards.
According to Jason Barnes, director of the Burton Complex, this transition is a step towards modernization and aligns with the growing trend of cashless transactions in various industries.
“We want to provide our guests with a seamless experience when visiting our facility,” he said. “By going cashless, we are able to eliminate long lines at concession stands and ticket booths, allowing visitors more time to enjoy the events.”
