Priscilla Ann Guillory Elkins Savoy

Iowa– Priscilla Ann Guillory Elkins Savoy, born in Soileau, La., daughter of John Eclead and Mary Verna (Leger) Guillory, passed away in the comfort of her home on Saturday, Jan. 27, 2024, at the age of 86.

Priscilla was a member of the Cajun French Music Association, Retreads Motorcycle Group and Mended Hearts. Priscilla enjoyed RV traveling and making new friends throughout the United States with her late husband, James. 

She is survived by her children, Kenneth Elkins and wife, Donna, Cynthia Talbot and husband, Bobby, Connie Peloquin and husband, Aaron; daughter-in-law, Vivian Elkins; sister, Cecile Meaux; 13 grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, James D. Savoy; daughter, Mamie Marie Parker; sons, Kurt and Carl Elkins; siblings, Ruthie Guillory Moore, Ronald “Matt” Guillory, and Frank Guillory. 

A Mass of Christian burial will be held in St. Raphael Catholic Church on Thursday, Feb. 1, 2024 at 10 a.m. the Rev. Anthony Fontenot, Celebrant. Burial will follow in Consolata Cemetery under the direction of Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa. Visitation will begin in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa on Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2024 from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m., with a rosary recited at 6 p.m. and will resume Thursday in the funeral home from 8 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. Pallbearers assisting in her service are Christopher Elkins, Jason Parker, Jacob Parker, Clint Talbot, Dylan Elkins, and Collin Peloquin.
