Calcasieu Parish School Board employees are still assessing buildings and facilities following last night’s temperatures, and are also checking into restoration times for families who are experiencing power outages in the parish and for our schools currently without power.

“While we do not anticipate travel issues tomorrow morning, we want to be thorough in our facility and forecast assessment before making a decision regarding the status of school for tomorrow,” said spokesperson Holly Holland. “We will provide an update for our families regarding school tomorrow later this afternoon. We apologize for the delay, but it is important to us to ensure our facilities are safe for students, faculty, and staff.”
