A marked Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office deputy traveling on Topsy Road near Bill Rosteet Road in Moss Bluff Monday night was involved in a crash involving an individual on a bicycle.

Spokesperson Kayla Vincent said the bicyclist was transported to a hospital out of town with serious injuries.

She said Louisiana State Police have taken over the investigation.
