SW La. school lunch menus Dec. 4-8

The following menus for Dec. 4-8 for area schools have been submitted by supervisors of food services. Menus are subject to change.

MONDAY: Chicken fried beef patty or fingers with mashed potatoes and gravy or baked potato half with shredded cheese cup, great northern or navy beans, chewy bread stick, fruit cocktail, grapes or plums.

TUESDAY: Chili mac with biscuit or chili over cornbread bowl, cooked carrots, creamy coleslaw, pineapple tidbits, banana.

WEDNESDAY: Barbecue of lemon-pepper baked chicken or chicken biscuit sandwich, baked beans, sweet potato with orange glaze, homemade roll, peaches, apple.

THURSDAY: Orange popcorn chicken or chicken patty, fried rice, vegetable melody, mandarin oranges, pears, sugar cookie.

FRIDAY: Pizza, sweet peas or carrot sticks with ranch dressing, garden salad, melon cup, banana.


MONDAY: Breakfast pizza, hash brown, pears, apple.

TUESDAY: Whole-grain biscuit, pork sausage patty, frozen peach cup, grapes or plums.

WEDNESDAY: Cheese toast or chocolate or grape crescent, oatmeal, pineapple tidbits, banana.

THURSDAY: Mini French toast, chicken sausage patty, peaches, grapefruit or apple.

FRIDAY: Mini strawberry and cream cheese bagel, yogurt with granola, mandarin oranges, pears.



MONDAY: Chicken nuggets, potatoes and gravy, carrots, apple, rolls.

TUESDAY: Beef and gravy over rice, broccoli, tossed salad, fruit choice, rolls.

WEDNESDAY: Chicken spaghetti, green beans, corn, fruit choice, bread stick.

THURSDAY: Chicken and sausage gumbo with crackers, potato salad, carrot sticks with dip, fruit cup.

FRIDAY: Beef burrito, red beans, Spanish rice, taco salad cup, fruit choice.


MONDAY: Pancake and sausage on a stick, mixed fruit.

TUESDAY: Cinnamon roll, peaches.

WEDNESDAY: Western scramble toast, sliced apples.

THURSDAY: Muffins, peaches.

FRIDAY: Grilled cheese, pears.



MONDAY: Pepperoni pizza, marinara cup, sweet corn, orange wedges.

TUESDAY: Cajun red beans and rice, smothered cabbage, broccoli and cheese, cornbread muffins, diced pears.

WEDNESDAY: Crispy chicken sandwich, sweet potato fries, celery sticks, mandarin oranges.

THURSDAY: Roasted chicken, mashed potatoes, red and green grapes, bold baked beans, honey wheat roll.

FRIDAY: Hot ham and cheese hoagie, roasted potato wedges, green beans, pineapple tidbits.


MONDAY: Maple waffle and sausage sandwich, pineapple tidbits.

TUESDAY: Breakfast bagel, bananas.

WEDNESDAY: Breakfast eggstravaganza, buttered toast, tropical fruit salad.

THURSDAY: Chocolate chip muffin, red and green apples.

FRIDAY: French toast sticks, kiwi.



MONDAY: Chicken fries, mozzarella cheese bites, baby carrots, sweet potato fries, fruit mix.

TUESDAY: Beef steak fingers, gravy, buttermilk biscuits, mashed potatoes, baked beans, mandarin oranges.

WEDNESDAY: Cheeseburger, sandwich cup, crinkle cut French fries, triple berries and whipped topping, chocolate chip cookie.

THURSDAY: Cajun chicken pasta, Texas toast, dark green salad with cherry tomatoes, corn, applesauce..


MONDAY: Chocolate donut, diced peaches.

TUESDAY: Sausage biscuit, fruit cup.

WEDNESDAY: Chicken waffle sandwich, fruit cup.

THURSDAY: Chocolate granola, waffles, strawberry cup.

MONDAY: Hamburger, French fries, ranch-style beans, lettuce/tomato, pickle cup, orange wedges.

TUESDAY: Chicken and sausage gumbo, steamed rice, potato salad, seasoned green beans, peach crunch.

WEDNESDAY: Sloppy Joe, potato rounds, green lima bean, fruit.

THURSDAY: Beef and cheese pizza, steamed whole-kernel corn, mixed fruit, ice cream, taco salad cup.

FRIDAY: Corndog, baked beans, oven-baked fries, mixed fruit.


MONDAY: Breakfast burrito, chilled mixed fruit.

TUESDAY: Cheese toast, hash browns, fruit.

WEDNESDAY: Scrambled eggs, biscuit, strawberry and banana.

THURSDAY: Waffles, fruit.

FRIDAY: Assorted cereal, buttered whole-grain toast, banana.
