A man was shot inside his residence late Thursday night in the 3500 block of Taylor Street.

Lake Charles Police Lt. Brenda Treadway said officers were dispatched to the scene at about 9:13 p.m.

She said the man was  transported to a local hospital for treatment and is listed in stable condition.

Treadway said the investigation is ongoing and anyone with any additional information is asked to contact the Lake Charles Police Department.
