Jeanne Marie Foreman

Jeanne Marie Foreman, 93, passed away peacefully and surrounded by family at her home on Thursday, August 24, 2023.

Jeanne was a native of Grand Prairie, La. and had been a resident of the Sulphur/Carlyss area for over 70 years.  She was an active member of St. Theresa Catholic Church where she was a member of the Legion of Mary and also served as a Eucharistic Minister.  She was a previous member of Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church.  Jeanne was devoted to her faith in Christ and truly had a servant’s heart.

Jeanne enjoyed needlepoint, home decorating, watching golf and playing golf in her younger years, and most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.  She could often be heard on Saturdays cheering on her LSU Tigers yelling Geaux! Geaux! Geaux! in her living room.

Jeanne will be lovingly remembered by her children Michael John Foreman of League City, Texas and Susan Marie Foreman-Pryor and husband Bobby of Dallas, Texas; her former daughter-in-law Shimerine Thibodeaux Foreman of Carlyss; her five grandchildren: Lilian Jeanne Brown and Evan Wilson Brown of Dallas, Texas; Ashley Nichole Foreman Morgan and husband Alan of Sulphur; Justin Michael Foreman and Brianna Sanders of Carlyss; John Michael Foreman of Carlyss; and her great-grandson Jameson Foreman of Carlyss, as well as numerous relatives and friends.

Jeanne was predeceased by her loving husband of 58 years, Charles Douglas “Doug” Foreman; her brother John O’Neil Hebert, Jr.; and her parents John O’Neil Hebert, Sr. and Manette Guilbeau Hebert.

A gathering will be held on Friday, September 1st at 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. when the funeral service will begin at Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home located at 2051 East Napoleon Street, Sulphur, La. 70663.  

Following the funeral service, Jeanne will be laid to rest next to her husband, Doug, at Mimosa Pines Cemetery South in Carlyss. Words of comfort and expressions of sympathy may be shared with the family at www.hixsonfuneralhomes.com.
