Nellwynn, affectionately known as Nell, was a lifelong resident of Elton.

She was a loving wife to her husband, John Buller, for more than 35 years until his passing in 2017. As a devoted member of St. Paul Catholic Church, she loved attending mass and she was an active member of the Ladies Altar Society, as well. Nell worked over the years both in and outside of the home.

She held many jobs which included sitting with the elderly and cleaning houses. In her younger years, she worked as a barmaid and enjoyed serving and visiting with her customers. Her biggest enjoyment came from spending time with her family and friends, especially her best friend and loving pet, Jolie.

Nell also enjoyed listening to music and watching movies. She will be sadly missed by all who had the honor to know and love her.

Those left to cherish Nell’s memory include two brothers, Glen Fontenot of Crowley and Donald Fontenot of Basile; one sister, Yvonne Fontenot of Jennings; her stepson, Karl Buller of Elton; and nephews and nieces, David Thibodeaux, Daniella Deshotel, Nicole Reed, John Fontenot, Allen Fontenot, Michael Fontenot Sr., Michelle Reed, Ronald Fontenot Jr., Elizabeth Fontenot, and Jerry Deshotel.

Nell is preceded in death by her father, Masxim Fontenot; her mother, Rena D. Fontenot; her husband, John Buller; one brother, Ronald Fontenot; and one sister, Ruby Thibodeaux.
