On Thursday, May 11, 2023, Sharon Rose Ward, 33, succumbed to Fibrolamellar Hepatocellular Carcinoma, a rare form of juvenile onset liver cancer. She was born on Dec. 22, 1989 in Kinder, La. She was a 2008 graduate of Sulphur High School and was involved in the Lake Charles music scene before moving to New Orleans.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her fiancée, Josh Walker; father, Jimmy Ward; mother, Loretta Greenleaf; five siblings, Clinton Ward, Denise Davis, Judith McGee, Joel Ward, and Jared Ward; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. at First Baptist Moss Bluff Saturday, May 20, 2023.
