SW La. school lunch menus May 8-12

The following menus for May 8-12 for area schools have been submitted by supervisors of food services. Menus are subject to change.

MONDAY: Hot dog or corn dog, chili cup, French fries, broccoli with cheese, peaches, orange.

TUESDAY: Chicken nuggets or chicken patty (breaded or grilled) white cheddar mac-n-cheese, yam patty, green beans, apricots, banana.

WEDNESDAY: Pork roast with rice and gravy, black-eyed peas, whole-kernel corn, fruit cocktail, grapes, chocolate graham crackers.

THURSDAY: Nachos or chicken taquito, Mexican-style beans, lettuce/tomato cup, blueberries, raisins.

FRIDAY: Cheeseburger or grilled cheese sandwich, onion rings or sweet potato fries, pears with shredded cheese cup, apple.


MONDAY: Honey oat waffles with syrup, sausage link, strawberry cup, apple.

TUESDAY: Ham slice and grits, Trix cereal bar or chocolate graham crackers, peaches, orange.

WEDNESDAY: Plain bagel with cream cheese or toast with jelly, cheddar cheese slice or string cheese stick, apricots, banana.

THURSDAY: Pancake on a stick, hash brown, fruit cocktail, grapes.

FRIDAY: Breakfast break kit, muffin (banana or blueberry) raisins.



MONDAY: Pizza, corn, garden salad, orange wedges.

TUESDAY: Grilled ham and cheese sandwich, sandwich salad cup, green beans, peaches.

WEDNESDAY: Spaghetti with meat sauce, broccoli, garden salad, breadstick, fruit mix.

THURSDAY: Catfish, sweet potato fries, relish tray with dip, fruit cup.

FRIDAY: Nachos with ground beef, taco salad cup, red beans, cinnamon rolls, pears.


MONDAY: Toaster pastries, mixed fruit.

TUESDAY: French toast, peaches.

WEDNESDAY: Cinnamon toast, ham, pears.

THURSDAY: Breakfast burrito, mixed fruit.

FRIDAY: Yogurt, toast, peaches.



MONDAY: Pepperoni pizza, marinara cups, sweet corn, orange wedges.

TUESDAY: Cajun red beans and rice, smothered cabbage, glazed carrots, cornbread muffins, sliced pears.

WEDNESDAY: Spaghetti, seasoned green beans, side salad, cantaloupe, Italian rolls.

THURSDAY: Oven-roasted chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, broccoli and cheese, honey wheat roll, strawberries.

FRIDAY: Hot ham and cheese hoagie, sweet potato fries, seasoned green beans, applesauce cups.


MONDAY: Maple waffle sandwich, pineapple pieces.

TUESDAY: Waffles, sweet pineapples.

WEDNESDAY: Hashbrown bites, scrambled eggs, buttered toast, mixed fruit.

THURSDAY: Chocolate chip muffins, red apples.

FRIDAY: Fiesta breakfast burritos, banana.



MONDAY: Chopped barbecue sandwich, broccoli and cheese, sweet potatoes, fruit cocktail.

TUESDAY: KFC bowl, rip stick breadstick, pineapple chunks, brownie.

WEDNESDAY: Chicken fajitas, tortilla chips, salsa cup, fixing cup, pinto beans, applesauce salad.

THURSDAY: Salisbury steak, rice, buttermilk biscuit, field peas, red grapes, green grapes.

FRIDAY: Chicken fried steak, yeast rolls, redskin garlic mashed potatoes, green beans, citrus fruit.


MONDAY: Scrambled egg, buttermilk biscuit, apple cup, breakfast sausage link.

TUESDAY: Waffle funnel cake fries, tropical fruit cup.

WEDNESDAY: Sausage breakfast pizza, country white gravy, oranges, raisins, cinnamon granola.

THURSDAY: Powdered sugar donut, animal cookies, peach cup.

FRIDAY: Chicken maple waffle sandwich, red apple.

TUESDAY: Whole-grain spaghetti and meat sauce, steamed corn, toss salad cup, whole-wheat garlic bread, watermelon, salad bar.

WEDNESDAY: Corndog, baked beans, oven-baked fries, mixed fruit, salad bar.

THURSDAY: Chicken and dumplings, frozen mixed vegetables, chilled peaches, ice cream, cornbread, salad bar.

FRIDAY: Chicken salad sandwich, vegetable soup, carrots/cukes/broccoli cup, apple wedges, chocolate pudding, salad bar.


MONDAY: Waffles, fruit.

TUESDAY: Assorted cereal, cinnamon graham crackers, fruit.

WEDNESDAY: Blueberry snackin’ waffles, watermelon.

THURSDAY: Assorted cereal, buttered whole-grain toast, orange wedges

FRIDAY: Breakfast burrito, chilled fruit mix.
