Deanna Doucet, 78, passed away on Tuesday, May 2, 2023, in a local hospice care center surrounded by her loving family.

She was a native of Crowley and had been a resident of Sulphur for over 40 years. She was an active member of Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church. Deanna enjoyed cooking for her family and spending time with her grandchildren.  

Survivors include her sons, Scottie Doucet and Donavan Doucet and wife, Marcia, all of Sulphur; her siblings, Luby Guillot of Rayne, and Loretta Broussard Suire of Maurice; and her grandchildren, Kaytlin Doucet, Allee Doucet, Adah Doucet, Scotti Clare Doucet, Shaylee Doucet, and Taylor Doucet. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Doucet.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, May 5, in Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church. The Rev. Michael Beverung will officiate. Burial will be in Mimosa Pines Cemetery South in Carlyss under the direction of Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation is from 5-9 p.m. Thursday with a rosary service at 6 p.m. and from 10 a.m. Friday in the funeral home.
