A 13-year-old boy has been charged with terrorizing after making threats to “shoot up the school.”

Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Kayla Vincent said Safe School deputies were notified just before classes ended on Friday that a student Bell City High School was making threats.

She said it is alleged the boy told other students about having a gun in his backpack and threatened to shoot up the school.
