SW La. school lunch menus March 2-24

The following menus for March 20-24 for area schools have been submitted by supervisors of food services. Menus are subject to change.

MONDAY: Barbecue rib burger, sweet potato French fries, lettuce/tomato cup, pineapple tidbits, apple, cinnamon sugar cookie.

TUESDAY: Meatloaf of Shepard’s pie, mashed potatoes with gravy, green beans, whole-wheat mini biscuit, applesauce, plums.

WEDNESDAY: Red beans, sausage or ham over rice, cooked carrots, cornbread, pears, orange.

THURSDAY: Spaghetti and meat sauce, mixed peas and carrots, garden salad, whole-wheat bread stick, melon cup, banana.

FRIDAY: Beef burrito or cheese quesadilla, Spanish rice, taco salad cup with shredded cheese, whole-kernel corn.


MONDAY: Chocolate crescent, cheddar cheese slice or sting cheese stick, apricots, banana.

TUESDAY: Sausage, egg and cheese wrap or cheese toast, graham crackers, pineapple tidbits, apple.

WEDNESDAY: Breakfast burrito or blueberry and cream cheese stick, yogurt with granola, applesauce, plums.

THURSDAY: Scrambled eggs, cinnamon roll, pears, peaches.

FRIDAY: French toast sticks with syrup, hash brown, melon cup, banana.



MONDAY: Chicken nuggets, macaroni and cheese, carrots, green beans, apple.

TUESDAY: Barbecue pulled pork on bun, sandwich salad cup, baked beans, peaches.

WEDNESDAY: Chili con carne, carrot sticks, mixed fruit, graham crackers.

THURSDAY: Chicken quesadilla, red beans, Spanish rice, taco salad cup, fruit cup.

FRIDAY: Fish taco, coleslaw, corn, pears, cinnamon roll.


MONDAY: Pancakes, syrup, pears.

TUESDAY: Cinnamon rolls, peaches.

WEDNESDAY: Hash brown casserole, sliced apples.

THURSDAY: Biscuit, sausage patty, mixed fruit.

FRIDAY: Scrambled eggs, toast, peaches.



MONDAY: Mandarin orange chicken, Asian noodles, peas and carrots, broccoli and cheese, strawberry cups.

TUESDAY: Chili cheese hotdogs, French fries, sweet corn, pineapple pieces.

WEDNESDAY: Hot grilled cheese sandwich, loaded baked potato soup, mixed vegetables, peaches.

THURSDAY: Chicken and sausage gumbo, potato salad, saltine crackers, carrots, sweet fruit mix.

FRIDAY: Macho cheesy nachos, zesty salsa, seasoned refried beans, applesauce cups.


MONDAY: Sausage biscuit, sweet raisins.

TUESDAY: Brown sugar and cinnamon oatmeal, buttered toast, cinnamon apple slices.

WEDNESDAY: Donut holes, strawberry and banana yogurt, apples.

THURSDAY: Sausage breakfast pizza, mandarin oranges.

FRIDAY: Cinnamon rolls, bananas.



MONDAY: Chopped barbecue beef sandwich, broccoli and cheese, sweet potatoes, fruit cocktail.

TUESDAY: KFC bowl, rip stick breadstick, pineapple chunks, brownie.

WEDNESDAY: Chicken fajitas, tortilla chips, salsa cup, fixing cup, pinto beans, applesauce salad.

THURSDAY: Salisbury steak, rice, buttermilk biscuit, field peas, red grapes, green grapes.

FRIDAY: Catfish fillet, cornbread poppers, potato wedges, flame-roasted corn, tropical fruit salad.


MONDAY: Scrambled egg, buttermilk biscuit, breakfast sausage link. Mandarin orange cup.

TUESDAY: Waffle funnel cake fries, tropical fruit cup.

WEDNESDAY: Breakfast sausage pizza, country white gravy, oranges, raisins, cinnamon granola.

THURSDAY: Powdered donut, animal cookies, peach cup.

FRIDAY: Chicken maple waffle sandwich, red apple.

TUESDAY: Chicken and sausage gumbo, steamed rice, potato salad, seasoned green beans, peach crunch, ice cream, crackers.

WEDNESDAY: Sloppy Joe on a whole-wheat bun, potato rounds, green lima beans, fruit.

THURSDAY: Chili con carnie, whole-grain rice, mustard greens, orange wedges, whole-wheat cornbread.

FRIDAY: Cheese nachos, corn on the cob, ranch-style beans, apple wedges.


MONDAY: Waffles, fruit.

TUESDAY: Assorted cereal, cinnamon graham cracker, fruit.

WEDNESDAY: Cinnamon roll, hashbrowns, pears.

THURSDAY: Oatmeal, buttered whole-grain toast, orange wedges.

FRIDAY: French toast sticks, orange wedges.
