Irwin named to dean’s list

MANCHESTER, N.H. — William Irwin of Lake Charles has been named to Southern New Hampshire University’s fall 2022 dean’s list.

Full-time undergraduate students who have earned a minimum grade-point average of 3.5 to 3.699 for the reporting term are named to the dean’s list.

SNHU announces honor students

MANCHESTER, N.H. — Several Southwest Louisiana students were named to the fall 2022 president’s list at Southern New Hampshire University.

They are: Kelsie Douget, Catherine O’Neill, Becky Hebert, Rebecca Hunt and Dylan Pauley, all of Lake Charles; Jessica Thomas of Elton; Cameron Spell of Jennings; Robin Rice and Kara Young, both of DeRidder; Courtney Butts and Amanda Verneuille, both of Sulphur; Jason Young of Oakdale; David Bruno of Vinton; and Heidi Minervini of Westlake.

Full-time undergraduate students who have earned a minimum grade-point average of 3.700 and above for the reporting term are named to the president’s list.

Scholarship applications due March 26

The scholarship application deadline for high school seniors applying for one of the Community Foundation scholarships is March 26. These scholarships each have specific criteria for applicants and all information, including the online application, may be found at foundationswla.org.

Scholarships avaible are the Amerisaife Community Scholarship for students in Beauregard and Vernon parish high schools; the Gwen Higgins English Scholarship for students at Lake Arthur High School; and the Richard O. and Fraces E. Boisture Scholarship for students at Jennings High School.

LaCour named to dean’s list

Faith E LaCour of Lake Charles was 1,400 students named to the fall 2022 dean’s list at the University of Central Arkansas.

To qualify for the list in a given semester, a student must earn a 3.50 or higher grade-point average on a minimum of twelve hours of undergraduate degree credit with no incomplete grades.
