Two female juveniles have been arrested in connection to multiple threats made to Jennings High School.

The two juveniles, who are not identified because of their age, were arrested on terrorizing charges and released to their parents, according to Jeff Davis Parish Sheriff’s Office Chief Deputy Chris Ivey.

The Sheriff’s Office began investigating bomb threats to Jennings High School after threatening phone calls were made to the school on Wednesday, he said.

As a result of the threats, the school went into lockdown around 10:54 a.m. after receiving the first call.

Deputies and school staff conducted a search of the school, but did not find anything, Ivey said.

Two more threatening calls were made to the school during the lockdown.

The phone number was identified and investigators were able to locate the two suspects. Both suspects were questioned with their parents and admitted to making the threatening calls.

Authorities did not elaborate on the details of the threats that were made.
